Rudolf (Rudi) Kischer advises individuals, businesses, and the human resource departments of a number of corporations and non-profit organizations on immigration issues. Rudi has 20 years of experience practising Canadian immigration law.

Rudi assists businesses with their global mobility issues. He acts as counsel for companies that are facing labour shortages and guides them in their quest to add employees from the foreign talent pool to their company team. He also represents foreign entrepreneurs seeking to invest in Canada and advises them on how they can set up their businesses so that they can gain a work permit and permanent residence.

He has served as a consultant to the UNHCR on resettlement issues and lectured for seven years at the University of British Columbia on immigration practice. He is a frequent presenter at immigration law seminars and has been the author of the CLE Annual Review of Practice on Immigration. He has been qualified as an expert on immigration matters before immigration tribunals in Canada and the United States.

Mr. Kischer has held a variety of positions on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association (BC) Immigration Section and has been a member of the National Consultative Committee on Practices and Procedures with the Immigration Refugee Board in Ottawa.
