Shiela Baytan

Paralegal

Shiela doesn’t do things the easy way. Starting out with a degree in Mass Communications and a career in broadcast journalism in the Philippines, Shiela took a detour into home care work, moved around the world, learned five languages and finally found her true calling in immigration. She brings more than a decade of experience and a meticulous sense of detail to her work. She is also the only member of our team whose already-impressive productivity actually increases by listening to horror movies while she works.

The fine print about Shiela:

  • B.S. (Mass Communications), West Visayas State University, 2003

  • Certificate in Caregiving Management, LifeLine Intl. Caregiving Centre, 2005

  • Former news writer/newscaster, Manila Broadcasting Company, 2003-2006

  • Fluent in English, Tagalog and Ilonggo; conversational Korean and Japanese
